Puttering and prep
I started out the day puttering around the yard and doing some prep to get ready to fix the bulkhead and bridge bulkheads.
Oil stove start up
But first I needed to get my heating stove started up for the winter as it’s starting to get colder at night. I turned on the fuel valve at the tank and pushed the stove button to start it, but it give me an error code instead. Now where the heck is the manual so I can find out what the error code meant. The manual wasn’t where it usually was on top of the stove, so I went online to find another manual. The error code says there’s an air bubble in the fuel line and there’s a little red button to push to let it out so I pushed it and tried the stove again and it worked.
Put the van away and got the welder ready to go
I put the van in it’s place to keep it dry for a few months until I need to use it again and got the portable welder out to weld some stuff up on the bulkhead job when I get ready to do that job. That’s it between the two rigs there. I still need to wire it in somewhere to power it up.
Digging tools
I’ll need some digging tools for that job too, so I rode on up to get these two tools where I was working on the trail.
I want to extend the trail through this area, so I moved the logs and started digging the trail.
Tree trimming
I’d brought the small chainsaw up with me to cut this tree and some other small ones on the other trail I’ve been working on. I left this one long so I can push it over with the dozer the next time I use it as the longer tree will give me the leverage to make it easier for the dozer to push it over or break it off. I got a good start on digging out the trail, at least the start of it.
I wanted to trim the small little trees out on the left to make it easier to ride around the tree in the middle.
I got that one cut and it looks much better now.
That was enough to get some exercise and I was beat so headed on home and did some chair hopping when the cat came by.
Nice day.
