Yummy, One Good Piece of Wild Blackberry-Peach Pie

Thursday August 7, 2025 Guerneville CA.

A couple of days ago I watched my neighbor Dominique put together two pies. One a wild blackberry and the other a wild blackberry and peach.

Dominique is a master chef pie maker who used to sell her goods at Farmer’s markets, but has since retired from that.

I was able to get this one picture of the two pies, not expecting to get a piece myself, but I did ask for one if there was any left after the birthday party she was taking them to which I wasn’t attending.pies7

She picked the peaches from Tom’s yard and picked the wild blackberries in my yard.

A bit later in the day I went over to her kitchen to see how the pies were doing and found them in the oven baking away. They smelled great. I asked for a piece if there was any left after the party, not expecting any to be left over, as there were forty people at that birthday party.

So, today and the pie

So today, I could see Tom out in his yard getting his produce ready for the market so went on over there. To my surprise, they’d only taken the Blackberry pie to the party and Tom asked me if he wanted him to cut a piece of pie. SURE.

And, do you want some of this goop in the pie dish? SURE.

He put it in a dish with no fork and I headed back towards my place.

l didn’t get far before I had the urge to put the tip of my tongue in the goop.

Boy, yummy. Good thing I didn’t have a fork or I would of gobbled it down.

I made it back to my place where I got a fork and ate about a quarter of that pie, before I thought, I better hide the rest of it, so I put it in the fridge so I could nibble on it the rest of the day. I made it last as long as I could and the last bike was as good as the first bite.

Good job Dominique. I sure enjoyed that piece of pie. Yummy Good Stuff. Thanks
