Commenters
I’d like to thank the commenters that gave me advice about my van’s weird problem. I get ideas from them that make me think on the problem, right or wrong. As you saw this was a really weird problem, so thanks.
I visit Gibbs and the Richards
I’ve been reading Patsy’s blog for some time now so today I was going to meet her and her husband Bill and their new puppy Gibbs. You can find her blog on my sidebar.
They were staying not far from where I was staying, less than a mile away so I headed on over there after lunch.
Patsy and Gibbs came out to greet me.
This puppy is their pride and joy.
We chatted and shot the bull for a couple hours or so and had a good time.
Crazy Donna of Quartzsite
I met Crazy Donna a few years ago and we hit it off, so I headed on over to her place for a visit. I had heard that she just got out of the hospital not too long ago and had a bad time of it, but was recovering at her place she has down here that she place that she loves.
Crazy Coral of Barstow reminded me of her and I wished I’d talked with her also.
Donna loves rocks and has lots of real nice ones in her rock walls and this fire place and actually most everywhere are interesting rocks.
New benches
Since Donna has been ill she needed some more places to sit in her yard so had installed some new benches here and there and this table that goes well with her rocks.
We took a walk around her yard so she could show it off to me. She has a lot of neat things tucked around in the garden. The more you look the more you see.
And this is her brown Buda and her dragon.
Has a purpose
When I had last seen her she was working on this Indian on this horse so we sat and talked about what she had done with it. Everything she does has a purpose.
Poor ol Indian
Here’s a side view of her Indian on a horse. The Indian isn’t doing too well with an arrow through him. He sees a mirage of water in the desert. She’s not happy with the mirage and has plans to change it up and change the ring of rocks out to make it less man made looking. Rocks are her thing.
She feeds the Doves and a bunch of cute little bunnies too that come out late in the day.
We had a nice visit and then I left and went back to Patti and Marty’s place where I’ve been staying the night.
I plan to head on down to the Kofa on Sunday and do some more visiting and then likely to head on down to Ajo for a bit and then onto something else. Stay tuned.
Nice day.
Bob,
I’ve got a hand it to you, you’re one of the few people that can turn a negative situation into such a positive situation. (Regarding your breakdown)
Yes, how we perceive things makes a big difference. Thanks for the blogs!
Safe travels!
Ken
Donna is certainly in the right place with her obvious love of rocks. The place is amazing. An oddly shaped mirror would be nice for the horse and rider. See ya’ later.
Wonderful to meet you in person! Thanks for the visit.
Donna has a neat yard, she is so creative!
The best part of traveling is meeting up with people you know along the way.
Glad you enjoyed your visit with Bill, Patsy and Gibbs. They are truly special people that I do know. Donna has a very nice home and the Indian sculpture is intriguing. Wonder what it represents. A real reflection pool would be a great addition.
