Saturday March 26, 2022 Pahrump Nevada
Travel day
I was off at about 9:30 this morning headed up highway 95 and beyond headed for Pahrump Nevada. I had all day to get there so I took it easy and stopped for breaks here and there along the way about every two hours or so.
I turned off highway 95 onto this road that was called Joshua highway.
Steam generation
And then turned onto this highway. Those aren’t space ships on the right but a solar steam generating plant that makes electricity.
Badlands
Just below Pahrump I came across these badlands that looked interesting.
There were lots of mounds of what looked like dirt or clay in the badlands.
Pahrump
It was almost dark with I made it to Pahrump so I went to Wal-Mart to post a blog and drove out of town on 160 north looking for a camp spot before it got too dark to see.
Rocky road
I found this spot just off the highway and made it do for the night.
The lights are from Pahrump so as you can see I’m pretty close to it for the night, but no neighbors are around here.
Tomorrow
Tomorrow I’ll continue North on highway 95 once I get back to it and camp up near highway 80 just east of Reno Nevada someplace.
