Bracket
I put a couple coats of paint on the fuel transfer bracket I made last night so today, it was ready to mount on the side by side. That should do it. I’ll test it out the next time I need to fuel up Skiddy.
It was supposed to just be cloudy today and I wanted to take it easy on my sore arm.
I thought I’d just go up and remove a few limbs off the road, being careful of my sore arm.
I didn’t get far before I ran into my first small downed tree to remove.
I used the loopers to do a little brush pruning on this part of the road.
I heard Tom working away with his chainsaw so I drove on over to see what he was up to.
He’s getting some exercise cutting his firewood.
Some of the firewood Tom cut and split.
I decided some light trail work would be ok, so I headed that way when I ran into this small tree I got off the road.
It seems I sure keep busy removing trees off the roads this year.
I made it to the overlook where the trail starts. It started to rain real light.
The trail is under some big trees so I headed out the trail hoping the big trees would mostly keep the light rain off me.
I started working on the trail where I’d left off last time.
Easy part
And soon made it to this ridge top where I don’t have to do any dirt work, only need to trim some brush on this part which I did.
The light rain started to drip through the trees after awhile and it was getting late in the day, so I headed out the trail back to the overlook. It’s raining lightly out there and starting to get me wet a bit.
I’d already done enough work for the day but on the way home I ran into another downed tree blocking the road so i got the chainsaw out once more.
Once the tree is cut up, it needs to be moved off the road to clear it.
That was enough exercise for one day. I was careful of my sore arm and it wasn’t too bad until I peeled a couple of potatoes for dinner. I think it’a slowly getting better.
Nice day.
