Rice in the forest
I put my little chainsaw in the side by side and headed up into the hills for a ride. I rode around a bit then went over to visit a neighbor. We had a nice chat.
I rode around the hills some more headed to the top of the ridge when I ran into this little downed tree, so I got the saw out and cut it out of the way.
I didn’t get far when I ran into the next one which I cut up and threw off the road so I could get by.
I finally made it to the top of the hill and was taking a break enjoying the day.
As I sat there I heard this guy huffing and puffing and riding his bike up the hill. It was an electric bike. It turned out to be another neighbor, Rob. He said he was headed over to another neighbor, Jim who had just made some home made beer. Now, because of my corn allergy, I hadn’t had a beer in over 25 years, far too long. I said I’d go with him to the neighbor’s place so we took off with him leading the way on his bike. He goes pretty fast on that bike and I had to go like hell to keep up with him.
Here we are pulling up to Jim’s house, where the beer is.
Any corn stuff in the beer
I quizzed Jim about what the ingredients of the beer were and it sounded like the beer would be ok. It was better than that, after 25 years of no beer. I’m not a big beer drinker but it sure hit the spot. We did some visiting and shot the bull a lot.
It was getting late when Rob and I left. Now, one beer makes my side by side go like hell, so I had a good ride back to my place.
