An old friend, Bill Henderson came by for a visit today.
We sat around and shot the bull for awhile, then we hopped in Hondo and went up into the park to check on the dirt road I’ve been putting rock on and did a little ditching. With the rains slowing down and with getting some sun, I’ll be able to do some more rocking.
We stopped here on the road to check something out. The road looks good, so we moved on after that.
Overlook
We made it to this overlook so took it easy for a bit.
The sun was out and the rains had stopped for now.
Root trimming
I had my Sawzall with me so we went over to this trail and I tried to trim some of this tree’s roots back with the Sawzall.
But the roots were just too big for that little saw, so I gave up on that idea.
We rode around for a bit, then I turned down to this little creek were we got out.
Waterfall
We were above our waterfall, so we walked on down to check it out.
Riding around some more, we ran into this little downed tree that the chainsaw made quick work out of.
Pond
We made it to the pond and Bill checked it out.
And of course we made it up to our main break area for a break.
And then we made it over to the Guerneville overlook for a look.
We were headed back to my place when we saw Tom doing some apple tree pruning in his garden, so we went over to shoot the bull with him a bit.
Tom and Bill started talking about fishing in the ocean as they both like to do that. Not me as I get sea sick too easily.
From there we took off for my place and Bill took off for his place.
