Forest ride
Barry showed up today, so off we went up into the forest for a ride. We stopped at the pond to see if the polliwogs had hatched out yet, but nope, not yet.
We stopped at the little water pool to see if any fish survived but couldn’t find any.
We made it to our rest area at the top for a rest.
There’s a storm coming in, but it may not drop any rain, we’ll see.
Back home I put some water on the cherry trees just to be sure it would rain.
Skiddy project
Eventually, I backed Skiddy into this work area to do some surgery on it.
I needed to drill three quarter inch holes in this part of the machine to mount this part, but first I need to get this piece cut off in the black marker as it was in the way.
I need to cut this part off on both sides of the machine to mount the part.
I used a cutoff wheel and a grinder to get the medal cut.
Drilling
Then I marked both sides to mark where I needed to drill the holes.
I needed to drill three quarter inch holes, but they are hard to drill with hand drills, so I started with a small drill first and worked my way up.
It was hard drilling but I got the holes drilled with much work.
This piece will bolt on here to hold a support brace I will make.
I ran out of time so I put the tools up and sat and enjoyed it getting dark as it was real nice out tonight.
