Roof repairs
Today I went over to my a neighbor’s place to help him work on his metal roof. The plan is to remove all the unused vent pipes and stove pipe holes that go through the metal sheets and patch up the holes as those are the places where leaks occur through the years.
Stove pipe hole
We started with the big wood stove pipe jack that is no longer needed. It had to be cut out to remove it.
We cut it all out and now need to cut a piece of metal to fill up that hole lapping the pieces so they don’t leak anymore.
No more leaks
Once we screw these metal pieces down after we fit them into the holes it won’t leak anymore.
Out of screws
We did that stove pipe one and about four other smaller holes. And we ran out of screws to screw it all down but it’s ready to go to finish the job once we get some more screws.
We finished up just before the sun went behind the hills to the west.
Daffodils
A day on the roof is enough to tire me out so I headed on home where my daffodils greeted me.
Nice day.
That’s a huge roof!
