Checking out the cemetery
Last night on the way driving back to camp I took the cemetery loop road and stopped at the Port Orford Cemetery to take a walk and have a look.
I walked up this road checking out the names and things on the way.
Reflections change
And looking back as I walked around the place reflecting. One of the things I noticed is how different my reflections are now as I hit seventy from when I used to walk around cemeteries. Quite a difference in thought.
Took a while to make up my mind
I drove on back to camp and had a good night. When I woke up this morning it was raining out and I was sorta thinking I might drive on home today instead of tomorrow as it was going to rain both days. I wasn’t sure until I hit the highway and I turned south for home around eleven this morning. It rained and the winds blew the van around a bit along the Oregon coast line, but as I got into California the rains mostly stopped and the winds calmed down for a mostly pleasant ride down Highway 101 to home.
I stopped in this spot for some lunch along the Pacific ocean.
The road was mostly a nice drive.
I did go by some snowy areas, but the snow had stopped so things were ok.
I arrived home around 8 PM and unloaded some of my stuff.
It was a good trip
With all the rain I didn’t do all the things I wanted to do, but the trip was a good excursion just to break up the winter a bit, so all in all, it was a good trip.
That was my day traveling on home.
