Welding rod
I was almost out of welding rod so I needed to go shopping for some. After checking some pricing I decided to go to Tractor Supply for some. 25 pounds of the stuff cost about 75 bucks. I bought two sizes of the stuff. If you buy smaller quantities , it’s five bucks a pound and on up.
Short visit with Joe
On the way home I stopped at Joe’s place. He’d just gotten home and needed to take care of his chickens and pigs so we went and did that.
Here’s Joe letting out his chickens for the day.
He’s got 14 hens and two roosters.
We sat and shot the bull for a short time. He had some work he needed to get done for a customer. Joe makes stuff out of metal and is pretty good at it.
Anyway, I left him to it and went on home where I had some metal work to do myself.
Power for the welder
But first I had to get the old welder I repaired the other day hooked to some power.
There was some power going across the bridge that went to a pump so I tapped into that. It’s a good thing I know a bit about electricity. :O)
Bridge work, Welding
Now that I had a lot of welding rod and a welder that works, I welded up all the steel channel I had installed so far and now I can add some more stuff to what I already have.
I finished that about 7 and put my tools away and did some chair hopping until about dark.
Nice day.
Haha. Yes. Glad you were able to post today, stealing some electricity like that. I myself am limited to plugging an appropriate plug into an appropriate receptacle, and I’m always a bit careful about that. Mystery!! I can do a bit of plumbing, but nope, no mystery in that.
