Radiator repairs
I checked the car’s radiator repair again for leaks and no leaks today so I put it all back together. I’ll have to find a new radiator soon.
Trail work
Then after some chair hopping I headed up into the hills to do some trail work.
Again about half way up I realized I didn’t bring my camera, but with two gates to go through to go back and get it, I did without.
Moving dirt
I worked on about a fifty foot section of trail that needed to be rerouted and took about three hours with a few breaks in their too. At my age I can’t do what I used to do or do what I used to do as fast, but that’s just the way it is. :O)
Nap time
Once back home I needed a good nap so that’s what I did.
Old raspberry canes
After that I worked on cutting some old canes out of the raspberry patch. Another hour or two and I should have all that done for the year.
Commenters
Judith, a commenter said she likes blackberries better than raspberries. Not to worry, there are still plenty of those blackberry vines in the creek areas, I just don’t like the vines in my yard and the chickens don’t like them either. Ouch.
Another commenter Candace said she thought the lemon tree’s good lemon tree graph had died and now only the root stock was left and that’s why the seedy lemons and she is right as the original tree got frosted right after I planted it and killed the good lemon part of the tree that was graphed onto the root stock. That was about thirty years ago and it took until now to get it’s first lemons, the lousy ones. :O)
Chickens doing their thing
I planted some mandarins a couple years ago and so far they are doing well and haven’t gotten frosted yet. I’m hopping they are more cold tolerant. This one is about six feet tall so far and I hope it takes off growing this year.
The chicken’s are having a good time digging in the woodchips and seem to be finding lots to eat in them.
Kale
And my brothers kale went to seed with lots of yellow flowers. The chickens are slowly eating that too.
Dirt
I was able to get the hole where I dug the plum tree filled back up just before dark.
Nice day.
Haven’t heard anything about the Hermit lately, how’s he doing?
Either you have a green thumb or really nice soil. Things sure seem to grow there!!
