Well work
I started out the day with some old well sediment removal work for about an hour. I’m getting muddy water with a little fine sands so I’ll keep at it at least a few more times to see if I can get the muddy water to clear up.
Kayaking and visiting
Then I thought I’d go down to Monte Rio to go kayaking but I wanted to do some visiting first with a guy that lives down there so I got my kayaking stuff together and took off for Monte Rio about a ten minute drive.
Charlie was there with his son Chas so we shot the bull until about 4 when they had to go somewhere so I took off.
Being retired
I was thinking more on a nap than going kayaking so I drove on home for the nap. That’s what being retired is all about, changing ones mind and doing what you feel like.
After the nap and some more rest chair hopping around the yard I did some more on the sediment job on and off the rest of the day.
Putting the chickens to bed for the night
The chickens go to roost late in the day so I go by and shut them in for the night for their safety.
Chicks at night
And the little chicks do the same but do not roost at this young age but go to their nesting area which was a box here until I removed it a couple days ago. Too many birds for that nest box. These are only about half of them as the others haven’t come in yet. They seem to be doing just fine without their nest box.
Chair hopping
It was a warm evening so I sat around the yard and chair hopped until it started to get dark and I went in for the day.
Nice day.
I dearly love the idea of chair hopping for retirement. Will add to list.
That IS the nice thing about retirement. There is always tomorrow to do something we didn’t do today for one reason or another. And taking a nap and chair hopping is a good reason too!
