Bike Ride and Getting Some Blue Clay for the Pot Grower’s Spring

Saturday June 22, 2024 Guerneville CA.

Bike ride

Barry came by so we went for a bike ride up in the forest for a few hours riding around all the roads.

After Barry left, I had a bit of a nap and rested up.

Forest work

I needed some blue clay for the Pot Grower’s Spring so I grabbed a few buckets and rode on up to the place of the blue clay.road1

Pot Growers

That spring is called Pot Grower’s Spring because a long time ago, I found someone had tapped the spring as there was a black pipe in it, but it looked like it had been abandoned. At the time we figured some pot growers had tried to use it, so that’s how it got it’s name. I think there wasn’t enough water for them to use it.

Rocks

On the way to the blue clay area, I stopped here to put some rocks in this crossing. It needs some more, eventually.rocks2

I also stopped to check out this water hole I’ve been working on.rig3

It’s more of a pool than a pond. I need a name for it.pool4

Blue clay area

I made it to the blue clay area and loaded up four buckets of clay.rig5

I dug most of the blue clay out of here.clay6

I don’t plan to use the blue clay today as it was getting late, but at least I got it.

Pond

From there I rode on over to our little pond for a bit to check it out.rig7

It’s a nice little pond.pond8

I made it back home and went in for another nap.

Eventually I came back outside and spread this load of rock.rock9

The chicken wasn’t really much help.chicken10

Nice day.
