Wood cutting

I hopped on the dirt bike and rode up to the top of the hill where I knew Barry was cutting firewood. We shot the bull for awhile, then I left him to it and rode on around the property for a bit.

I stopped here to throw sticks and rocks off the road.

And I stopped here to check out that big fallen log again to see what it would take to cut it off the trail.

I checked out the log and figure I can safely cut it off the trail.

I also had another look at the stump where it fall over. Seems the tree just got too big and the bank gave away during some wind.

Trimming canes

Back home I spotted some more raspberry vines that needed trimming so I got the trimmer out to do the job.

That trimmer makes short work of things. I used the loppers to cut the wild blackberry vines out of the patch.

Grape vine pruning

I was taking a break in this spot when I noticed a chicken up on the top of the chicken pen, which reminded me I needed to trim the grape vine there as it was over growing the pen.

I got a ladder and the loppers got to work on pruning the grape vine.

I cut all these grape vines, but just left them on top as I couldn’t get them off as they’d fastened themselves to the chicken wire. That was ok as I just wanted to stop them from growing any more.

It was getting late in the day and the sun was going behind the hill top soon.

Oil and filter change

But I still had time to get the oil and filter changed on the van.

Seat cover

This seat cover took a beating on my last trip as the four wheeling was real rough and my butt bounced all over the seat tearing it up. I have a new cover for it, but didn’t get it on today.
