Bike maintenance
Every once and awhile one should check one’s chain on the dirt bike which I hadn’t done in some time and it could use oiling too. I got the jack out and set things up.
But first I did read the book on how and what to do to set the tension properly.
I checked the chain’s tension and it was close enough so didn’t mess with it.
Then I applied plenty of oil to the chain and that was done.
Peeps
I checked on the new peeps which were doing just fine. The hen didn’t hatch out any more eggs so that’s all I got. I do have one more hen sitting on eggs so I’m hopeful for some more peeps.
The Hermit passes on
Around 3, I got an email from the guy that has been helping out the hermit saying he’d just passed away at his house. I hadn’t heard from him in awhile and wasn’t sure where he was and I guess I’m still not sure just exactly where he went as he departed earth.
I looked for pictures of him I might have and could only find a few.
Here he is in his garden a few years back. Looks like it’s raining.
And here he is in his front yard about a year ago.
And here’s his door bell on the front of his house.
I’ve known him since I was 11 years old. May he rest in peace.
Trying to get on my brother’s fast internet
I spent the rest of the day trying to hook up what they call an extender to get the Wi-Fi signal from his house to mine. I got hooked up, but then it asked for a security key which I couldn’t find so that didn’t get done. I’ll continue to work on it as time permits.
did you try the password for your brother’s router?
yes, but the network extenders need the security key to work, then the passwords will work. It’s my neighbor’s account so they just have to get the security key for me as I think the key is in their account setup which they have to figure out how to find it in there.
Always something,
Bob
I did on the extender’s 4G channel, and it failed so I thought it was the wrong one, but eventually I tried it again on the 5g channel and it worked so, you were right. That little mistake cost me a lot of time but that seems to be the way this stuff goes sometimes.
I’m also not familiar or wasn’t with the cable equipment and how it worked.
Thanks,
Bob
A sad day when the world losses a hermit. RIP.
Ahh I’m so sorry to hear about Nathan. He was a character. May he Rest In Peace in the forests of Heaven!!
Rest in Peace, Hermit of the Woods.
