I needed to replenish my chicken’s feed and my food too, so it was off to the shopping centers today to do that.
Feed store
I first went to the feed store and got my car loaded up with sacks of seeds for the chickens.
Shortages
After that I drove to a hardware store to check on some stuff without too much success. I need some electrical stuff but with the shortages these days they were out of stock on most of what I needed. Oh well.
Food for me
From there I drove over to Costco to get food for me as I was pretty low on stuff to cook up for me.
Pushing the cart around and throwing stuff I think I might need filled up my basket. They had most of what I needed so I did pretty good.
In need of a nap
That was more than enough shopping for one day and I was eager to get home for a nap.
Once home I unloaded the car putting the chicken feed on the ground to move to the chicken feed shed a bit later after that nap.
After getting rested up, I started moving the heavy seed sacks to the chicken’s feed shed. I moved about two thirds of it before I took a photo of what was left to move using my sack cart I made.
Feed shed is loaded up
All those sacks sure filled up the feed shed nicely. A few chickens got in to help clean up the seed I’d spilled in there, until I kicked them out.
Chair hopping
There was only enough time left in the day to do a little chair hopping before dark, so I sat with the chickens while they grazed some grass.
Spring is here
My daffodils are just starting to pop out so spring is here as they are my spring is here indicators, much better than a calendar.
I also noticed the California Dutchmen’s Pipes are getting their flowers too.
And the narcissus are another indicator, bring on spring.
I sat around in the yard with the chickens until the night chill came on. The chickens go to their roost when that happens so I shut them in for the night and went on in the house.
I’m jealous of your plants starting to grow. I’m still sitting here in snow.

Header Pictures
There are over a hundred pictures that are served up randomly every time you visit or change pages. They are of earlier pictures of interest and also some just to remind me of things.
A Sony AX33 4K, a video camera that takes stills too. What am I doing with that? I take pictures from my Kayak a lot. I found I was missing interesting shots, because my pic was being processed in my camera, before it would let me take another pic. Since I like to take what I call action stills, I bought this camera to take videos, that I could make stills out of, but, as a bonus, this camera also came with buttons to just take stills and that's what I mostly do, unless something is real interesting or too far away for my still zooms. My digilat zoom setting for video goes to two hundred x, and sometimes I need that, but usually, I only use the 10x lens zoom. Because this camera is HD and 4K, the quality has to be real good and it has a lot of stabilizers on it which really helps out a lot for taking pics on the water.
The other thing it has that is a must is a view finder and I had to buy Sony's top of the line cam to get it. This is a must for taking pics on the water, as you must hold the camera as still as posible and putting that eye piece to the eye forms a tripod with your arms that helps a lot. The eye piece is also a must as it works way better than a LED screen to see what you are taking a picture of in the daylight as the LED screens wash out easily in sunlight.
I also have another video camera, a Canon VIXIA G30. I use them both to mostly take stills. The Sony takes higher resolution stills than the G30. That was a bit of a disappointment as I bought the G30 to replace an older camera I dunked in the river, but then had to buy the Sony to get higher still picture resolution that the G30 was lacking.
