Saturday May 25, 2024 Guerneville CA.
I was sitting out in the front yard, warming up when Bill Henderson showed up. I hadn’t seen him in quite a few years so we visited and shot the bull for awhile.
Selling stuff
It wasn’t long before Barry came by with his nephew Gerald.. Gerald came down from Oregon to check out my old Toyota as he wanted to look at it to maybe purchase it. Bill took off.
It’s not something I really want to sell, but it’s been just sitting in the yard getting older.
Gerald wants to restore it. It does need some TLC which I would be happy to see it get as it’s been as old friend for many years.
Test drive
Right away, I put Gerald in the drivers seat and let him take it for a short ride up into the hills to try it out.
Forest ride
The ride went well and returned to my place and we all went for a dirt bike ride up into the forest.
Tom’s old truck
We didn’t get far when we went by Tom’s old truck which we had to check out as Gerald was interest in it for his kid.
Waterfall
We got back to our ride and rode on up to our little waterfall to have a look.
The water is a lot less now, but the area is still impressive.
Drink of water
From there we rode around and eventually ended up at the dozer, parked by the main spring.
I noticed the foxgloves are blooming here as Gerald gets a drink of water.
Break spot
Then we rode around some more and ended up at the top where we usually take a good break.
From there we rode around a lot more until we were pretty tired out.
By the time we returned to my house, we were all beat. They took off for Barry’s place and I went in for a nap.
After a good nap, I went back outside to do a few things.
Van work
I needed to tidy up this electrical connection under the van.
To protect the bolt and the connection from corroding, I put a thick coat of dialectic grease on all this and then wrapped it all up good with electrical tape.
And tucked it up nicely with some tie wraps.
Then I sat down by the van and made a list of all the other things I need to do to the van to make it ready to travel soon.
Fuel
And the last thing I did was to fuel up Skiddy so it has a full tank, using my electric transfer pump setup which makes the job quick and easy.
Nice day.
