A Great Christmas Dinner With Lots of Christmas Lights Too

There seems still to be a good supply of rats coming to the bait station. These two visited most of the night.

And this morning the red squirrel came around to have a look around.  It checked out the trunk of the tree. As far as I know, it didn’t’ get up into the avocado tree as there were no half eaten avocados on the ground.

I had a Christmas Eve dinner to go to later in the day, so I just hung around the yard until it was time to leave.

It was a nice sunny day when I let the chickens out into the front yard to feed.

I chair hopped around with them and left for my bother Barry’s place around three, about a half hour drive.

The Porsche

His wife, Mary Jane, offered to take me for a short drive in her Porsche, electric car.

She took me for a ride around the neighborhood. That’s quite a car. Since it’s an electric, you can set the sound it makes on it’s computer to several different things. She had hers set in some kind of rocket sound and it was a sorta rocket. She says, I’ll show you how it accelerates. Are you ready, are you sure? I wasn’t ready for just how fast that thing did accelerate. I was impressed.

Nice dinner

We had a nice dinner. Barry had caught some fresh crab. We had crab salads and home made raviolis and Christmas cookies for dessert and of course there was a fair amount of wine flowing.

Christmas lights

Their street is one that has a lot of Christmas lights that I checked out when I left for home.

This is their yard, lotsa lights.

And this was looking down their street.

Chickens

I remembered I hadn’t shut the chickens in and it was dark and about nine PM. I was hopping the predators didn’t get in there and eat some of them.

When I got home I went out to see how things were with the chickens and found the doors shut. My neighbor must of come by to shut them in, so all was Ok.
