Picked Up My Quarter of a Beef and Spent the Rest of the Day Just Enjoying It

Saturday August 13, 2022 Guerneville CA.

Willowside Meats

Yesterday I was informed that my quarter of beef would be ready today so I  had to go pick it up at the meat processor, Willowside Meats.

They were real busy, the guy said they even are working on Sunday.

Loading up

I had three boxes of meat to pick up. These guys loaded it up for me.

Chinese market

Then I drove over to the nearby Chinese Market where I picked up some rice vinegar and some rice noodles. I’m thinking I might pickle something with the rice vinegar. Chinese markets have a lot of interesting stuff one doesn’t find at other markets.

Filled up the freezer

Back home I put the meat in the freezer and now it’s full with beef and chickens. Happiness is a full freezer. :O)

Rode around the hills

Not having anything better to do I hopped on the dirt bike and rode around stopping here and there to do things like throw downed dead trees off the road. This one wasn’t there yesterday. It was small enough I could just break it up to get it off the road.

Spring for a drink

I stopped at this spring I call pig wallow for a drink of water from the pipe coming out of the hill in the back there.

Sat in the chair

Eventually I made my way to the trail work area to have a seat in the chair there. I sat and enjoyed the day until the day started to darken and then rode on home. I took a day off on the trail work to give my old back a break.

Headed home

I headed home just barely beating the bogyman’s time of coming out for the night.
